Services we offer include
Chiropractic
While most medical doctors will typically give drugs to their patients to alleviate their symptoms, we look to the spine to find out if there are any misalignments that are affecting the nervous system. The nervous system controls every single function of the body. If we find a misalignment, called a subluxation, we make adjustments with our hands or an instrument called an activator to correct them. This relieves most symptoms and helps the body stay healthy and strong.
Massage Therapy
At AHN we combine chiropractic care, that balances out the spine, with massage therapy which breaks up any knots and relaxes the muscles around the spine. Our therapists are licensed Massage Therapists and are trained in sports injuries, pregnancy massage and all neuro-muscular and nerve conditions that we treat.
Cold Laser Treatment
AHN is one of the very few practices in the area licensed to use Cold Laser treatments. Cold Laser is a painless, low-level light therapy that helps reduce inflammation (swelling), increases circulation and decreases muscle spasms and pain. It can be used to treat a variety of arthritic and soft tissue conditions, including osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome, and many sports injuries. The cold laser can also used on acupressure points to help patients quit smoking. Using this method AHN has a 75% success rate after only two 45 minute cold laser treatments.
Physical Therapy
AHN offers both active and passive Physical Therapy. Active PT consists of exercises and stretches that help lengthen and strengthen the muscles. Passive PT consists of treatments such as Ultrasound Therapy, electric muscle stimulation, infrared light therapy and cryotherapy, that are used to decrease inflammation, decrease muscle spasms, increase circulation and even decrease scar tissue.
Rehabilitation Area
My practice has always been able to help people get out of pain and feel better after an injury. In March 2010 we added a rehab department that allows us to take our services to the next level. After a patient is out of pain we can now perform physical therapy rehab to strengthen the muscles of the neck and back, or do core training work. This new service completes AHN's physical therapy services and the patients are loving it. We can also now rehab a patient after surgery.
Acupuncture
New in 2011, Advanced Health Naperville now offers acupuncture services by licensed acupunturist, Margaret Thompson Choi. Acupuncture is an Oriental medicine which uses sterile, single use needles to treat a wide variety of conditions, without the side effects of Western medicine.
George of the Gym Bootcamp Classes
Our George of the Gym Boot Camp classes are a perfect compliment to chiropractic care, and a great way to get in shape. The Core Strength Training Classes, which are available on Tuesday nights in the AHN offices, began in spring 2009 and have quickly become a popular addition to our services.
Nutritional Coaching
AHN now offer nutritional services including 1-2-1 Nutritional Coaching, which focuses on how to eat healthy without counting the calories; .consultations on health supplements and Nutritional Deficiency Testing, which can reveal the specific nutrients you need to optimize metabolic function and health.
